M57

Below is my first serious attempt at M57, the "Ring" nebula. Having trained the telescope using it's "smart mode", and after attempting M27, I set my sights on M57. After each exposure, the ring was quite prominent and colorful. So, I took a series of images and the resulting stacked image is below! A good start on this object, methinks.

M57 was discovered by Antione Pellepoix in 1779 and was later confirmed by Charles Messier. It resides 2,600 light years from Earth!
