M47


Another cluster shot - this time of M47. It's a great cluster in a nice, rich part of the sky. With shots like these, I can see the need for a field flattener. Anyway, click on the image for the full size view.

  • Guiding Scope: William Optics 66mm Petzval Refractor
  • Guiding Camera: Meade DSI-C

  • Exposures: 3 * 5 minute lights
  • ISO 400
  • Aligned and Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker
  • Post-Processing in GIMP (contrast, saturation and unsharp mask)
