Seeing conditions were 2/5 tonight. Through my eyepieces and web cam, the moon danced in and out of focus like mad. Foolishly I tried some more captures, trying to work on focusing and camera settings. I also did some work on Saturn but that was a really silly exercise given the sky conditions tonight.

The image to the right is the Montes Appenines region. There's some okay detail captured here. Again, this is in AltAz mode through 2/5 seeing. Still, I think the detail is a bit sharper than previous attempts. Actually, I have always been fascinated by the Hyginus area in this photo (that's the squiggly bit at the bottom right).
