So, a place called "Boomerangs" opened up here recently. They stated they sold authentic Australian meat pies, and I felt it was my duty to rock up and give them a go. Suffice to say, they were, as we say in Australia, beaut! Nice pastry, nice meat and sauce inside. Even the kids wolfed theirs down and loved them. Hopefully this store will be here to stay. Makes me a happy chappy.
BTW, for my American friends, the meat pie is the main food we eat at football games, or whenever we want a quick lunch. With hot chips (fries) it's a super meal. (Made even better with a bottle of VB!)
