R.I.P. Sir Patrick Moore

Very sad news. Patrick Moore, host of the BBC's "Sky at Night" and a man who motivated countless people simply to look up at the night sky, passed away today.

When I was thirteen, he wrote a letter to me at the request of my grandparents, encouraging me to keep up with the hobby of astronomy and share my interests with the other children I was growing up with. He was one of my biggest sources of inspiration.

Thank you, Sir, for giving me the motivation to go out and look up, take photos, and, actually, create this blog.
