After much thought and consulting with various astro-buddies, I decided to forgo the Meade Wedge and get a Milburn wedge instead. While the Meade Super- and Ultrawedges seem to be okay, there are some complaints about backlash on the alt-az movements while setting up for polar alignment. The Milburns allegedly don't suffer from this, and are reported to be much more solid in construction and, thus more stable. So, I held out and found a Milburn wedge for sale on Astromart. It should be here on Thursday! Woohoo!
