This weekend works out perfectly. My wife has a cycling race in a town near the dark sky site that I go to once a month. It's new moon time, and clear skies are forecast for both Friday and Saturday! So, we're booking a cabin and will spend two nights out under glorious dark skies. For the first time, too, my wife and kids will be able to hang out with me at the site, so I'll be able to give them a tour of the heavens through the new 12" scope! Should be great fun.
No other observing recently. Was busy cycling last weekend (rode 63 mile official ride on Saturday, then rode a 20 mile recovery ride on Sunday).
