Alright! I am registered for the Okie-Tex star party! This gathering of astro enthusiasts is an annual event, way out in the Oklahoma panhandle. It's about an 11.5 hour drive from Austin. Anyway, I'll be there for four nights, and if at least one of them is clear, I'll be a happy chappy. It is not until September but I am really excited about and have already begun planning. I'll be taking both my 12" Lightbridge for visual and 8" LX200 for some astrophotography work. The site is supposed to have some of the darkest skies in the US, so it should provide for some excellent photo and visual experiences.
