The Messier gods are not smiling at me. I missed fantastic weather for the event on Saturday night when I celebrated my wedding anniversary. I headed out to a dark sky site on Sunday night but high level clouds rolled in despite weather forecasts stating otherwise, and this turned into thick cloudy muck by about 9:30! Alas, no Messier Marathon for me yet again. I guess if I attempted it and bagged four objects does that literally count as an attempt????
Still, getting to enjoy a wonderful night with my wife without the ankle-biters is a victory unto itself!
