Messier Marathon - Change of Plans

Okay, so this weekend saw heavy clouds blanket the local skies, coupled with rather gusty winds. Not brilliant. My plan now is to head out to dark skies next weekend, on Sunday March 29th. I'll take a day off work and spend the full night out there, hunting down as many Messier objects as possible. There will be a thin crescent moon in the Western sky that will set at about 9:30 or so. That could still hinder efforts to find the first few faint fuzzy objects on the target list but we'll see how it goes. The forecast presently calls for clear skies next weekend after a storm complex comes through area during the week. Fingers crossed for clear, steady skies...
