Real Big Moon Image!

I finally figured out how to post my full-size moon image on here. You can see it here. Depending on your browser, you may need to click on the image again to get the full size of it (If using IE, turn off autoatic image resizing. If using Firefox, click on the image). It shows some decent detail at this scale.

Full Scale Moon Image

It's not a great shot overall, but a nice example of a low tech approach to moon photography. Astrophotography through a Dobsonian scope is tricky, but once you get the hang of it it's not too bad. I called Dad last night and explained it to him, and he was able to take similar photos through his 10" Dob and regular digital camera. It's fun way to get into the astrophotography part.
